had tears in my eyes just now from this. definitely some unexpected emotions coming to the surface as I read this book; unexpected, but not unwelcome.

enjoying this so far! it definitely keeps surprising me in fun ways, and is written in language that perfectly captures kids in junior high/middle school; like the inner thoughts of Holling are spot on

reading this one for the big read lakeshore 2026! my first time participating in the big read since 2018

re-reading this one since I've acquired the next next two books in the series now <3

ok so this is so good already! I probably should have read this way before now. not sure why I waited, especially considering I've already read the first two in the cabot series and loved them.

okay but I love james & leo so much ?? I am eagerly awaiting their happy ending, but also don't want this book to end; what a wonderful dilemma to have. life is good

so 60 pages in & have a pretty strong feeling this book is gonna be yet another home-run!! cat sebastian will be the reason I actually complete my reading goal for this year — and for that i’m grateful. plus I love leo and james so much as characters and as partners, & was so hyped to read another book with them!!!

started another because why not read two cat sebastian books at one time?? plus I fear this one was tailored perfectly to my interests. can't wait to see if I enjoy it!

i’ve become so invested in this story, i’ve fallen in love with these boys, & i’ve become immersed in the nyc backdrop along the way.

had to force myself to stop reading because it's so good I don't want it to end my godddd

my goodness gracious I LOVE them so bad <3 the sheer amount of yearning on both sides is crazy and I can't wait for them to finally realize what they both want & NEED desperately is literally... each other.

also love that this is a re-read for me, but is so good it feels like brand new story, and I'm left just as invested and intrigued and obsessed with it as I was the first time.

...actually probably even more-so

I forgot just how much people hate Eddie at the start of the book & it makes me so sad,, like this man is actually falling apart on the inside like my god back the hell off

already know this re-read is going to be amazing though, cat sebastian i am actually indebted to you??
