Paragraphs just keep going on and on on …. I’m guessing that this is the kind of book that could have been told with half the paper.
Anyways, interesting to read her interpretation of things from around my hometown

This book is far too sad and heartbreaking. Don’t think I’ll be able to finish it. I won’t even be able to give it away or donate it. Would feel guilty passing this anguish onto anyone else 😭😭💔💔

Brilliant sentence. Reminds me of so many towns and villages I’ve been to in Canada & the USA. This sentence will always dance in my mind, whenever I visit a place like this again

“How many beds are there?”
“Nine. Your husband is lucky to go right into a ward. Some new patients have to lie in the quarters or on the stairs!”
Frightening. Especially because this reminds me of the outpatients department where I live.

It’s falling apart again. So so stupid. Was really starting to feel it last night. Now I just want to jump in the pages and yell WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU??!! Can’t believe she’s an actual cop. Stupid stupid stupid 🤦🏻‍♀️

Woohoo finally warming up! The writing is still crap but the story is getting good. Many twists and turns. And the setting is finally coming alive. Plus the weather right now, outside my house, sets an incredible atmosphere. Wind blowing, windows creaking. Wish I could stay awake to finish this tonight

Starting to get interesting. But the writing & editing leaves much to be desired. Standard thriller. Still not creepy. I have to wonder about the reviews on the dust jacket. Some of my favorite authors. Did they even read the book?!

I hope this improves. Not at all creepy, thrilling, intriguing. And the writing is not very good. Will keep slugging through it though
