Presents very simple concepts and explains them from the basics of human intuition and reasoning. The topics are simple but yet things that I have taken for granted when doing more complication mathematics. This is a refreshing read that is forcing me to think about how and why we interact with numbers in our daily lives. Arithmetic arose from the need to keep track of items and carry out trades and transactions.

He yaps a lot and makes fun of economists.

It’s kinda boring. Not much of a plot so far

Very informative about cool aspects of the inner workings of the financial sector. Some concepts are a bit complicated and difficult to fully understand immediately, but eventually I get it 😅

Feels like the author has a bit too much bias towards sympathizing with the Persians. Presents historical facts but follows up by telling you how to feel about them and interpret them.

Funny, easy to read. Outlines life lessons that hold true beyond the pages of the book.
