Brutally honest. Dyson pulls no punches and every white person needs to read this. With a gag on. This would be a great read for a sociology class or even American English class.

So good. Highly readable. Ijeoma is amazing at laying things out in a way white people can understand and accept without pulling any punches. 🤛

1/3 done and I’m already calling it. This is the best book of 2018.

I can’t finish this book. I want to enjoy it because the writing is beautiful and I love the potential storyline, but I can’t follow the story. The prose is too flowery, and the characters and performance by the narrator are not distinct. I might try again later.

Some of these stories are fantastic, and others are definitely not my my style.
