First time I've fallen asleep mid-sentence after reading all through the night in a very long time. The usual Brent Weeks fare: deep, fascinating world-building; twists that actually manage to be surprising; characters that still manage to be compelling despite being full of tropes.

"Currently attempting to read" is probably more accurate than "currently reading".

Everyone was right, I should have read this sooner.
