I wanted to reread Blankets. I am appreciating this reread. It definitely is hitting me different.

Made it throught the Spanish Civil War and World War 2. Now I am reading about post-war Germany and the people who kept football alive. Also 1950's Hungary as the capital of Total Football and how they humbled and humiliated the arrogant British FA. I love this stuff!

I love Vilanch's wit and humor. He talks about the cult TV episode of The Paul Lynde Halloween Special. I enjoy a good Paul Lynde story and he has a few. He also talk about his time with Ice Pirates, a crazy early 80's cheap sci-fi movie that was playing off the popularity of Star Wars. I have seen this thing years ago as a kid. I definitely need to do a re-watch.

In the first chapter he talks about helping write The Star Wars Holiday Special. Absolute camp at its finest by a group of individuals who did not take themselves too seriously.

I am excited to read this one. I used to dislike science so much when I was younger, but now I can't seem to get enough of it. There is so much I don't know or don't understand about this planet. I am trying to absorb as much as I can.

It absolutely fascinates me how unreliable eye witness accounts can be. I read the portion about the Principals memory of the whole incident and how he was incorrect, The chapter about Cassie Bernall (the Christian martyr) and how that whole story was incorrect was absolutely fascinating. All of the evidence showed that it did not happen. Even the kid that originally claimed it happened realized he was incorrect.

I love Warren Ellis, but I am finding myself being bored in this one. We shall see what happens.
