Over half of the book is a monologue, with little to no respite until about chapter 19, 20? I certainly didn't feel much for King bar annoyance until here. Even though there's more story now, it's too late to earn more than 3*. I would have liked more interaction with Gio and now I'm rushing to finish Gio's story more than King's.

Oh my god, I can't stand Brendan. Synopsis showed so much promise but I can't bear it when he's on page.

I really hate made up verbs. It's jarring and adds nothing to story. I'm tempted to give up.
