The stress and the emotion that the author has written into the story is keeping me engaged and keeping the story well paced

They way this author talks about toxic masculinity in such a caring way. That showing emotion isn’t bad and feeling sad is okay and getting help is okay.

Thinking about all the pieces of the Wizard of Oz that are inserted into this book so far… the tornado, the poppy fields (duh), hot air balloon, and the cast with a little dog too. I adore Nikki Erlick’s writing.

She could travel the globe or travel through history, feel love or hate or envy or hope, any day she pleased, any time she checked out a new book.

I am really enjoying this so far! It’s perfectly festive and perfectly sad and grief filled (I connect the most to books centering on grief)

You matter to the people that love you and with that you have a responsibility to them. It’s an interesting thought.
