Thinking about where I’m at in the book. This relationship has started and for her she needs someone to see her, she needs someone to pay attention her because her mother isn’t. I feel as though there may be some parallels to McCurdy’s own relationship with her mother after reading her other book. Also admitting the adult aspects of her 17 yr old life, she needs someone to care for her and she thinks it’s ok

I did giggle at the part of her talking to her parents and her mom’s way of telling the story about the decapitation

The stress and the emotion that the author has written into the story is keeping me engaged and keeping the story well paced
