Lee Russell is on page 260 of 400 of A Treachery of Spies
I'm really enjoying this book - the links between WW2 France and a present day murder-mystery are very interesting and engaging.

Plenty of back-story being laid down so far - a bit plodding and I'm not engaging very well with the characters - hope it picks up!

I've enjoyed all of the stories in this collection so far, with the single exception of 'An Open Letter to Mister Edgar Allan Poe...'.

I'm finding that the stories are giving me different interpretations of Lovecraftian fiction that add to the genre - looking forward to reading the last few shorts - a recommended collection!

So far I'm enjoying this collection of stories influenced by the Lovecraft's style and the Cthulhu mythos.

It's All The Same Road In The End by Brian Hodge is a classy story with some good suspenseful moments - it felt like it was leaning towards the Blair Witch Project and a bit underplayed at the end, but still a good read.

Lee Russell is reading Ask A Foolish Question
Kind of enjoyed this vintage SF from Sheckley - a straight forward read that held more promise than it delivered

So far I have re-read the first book in this omnibus, "Rendezvous with Rama" - totally enjoyed it and am looking forward to moving on with the Rama series

Lee Russell is starting Quatermass (Quatermass #4)
This book really captures the seething unrest in Britain as it moved from Callaghan's collapsing Labour government to Thatcher's much more right-wing Conservatism in 1979. I enjoyed the book but the TV series was better, in my opinion. The final conclusion to the story was unsatisfying for me- it did not spoil the story overall, but I did feel that Kneale missed the mark there.

Surpised by the self-published presentation and feel of this story from an established author - paper is noticeably at the cheap end of the spectrum.

Lee Russell is on page 82 of 262 of Status 1SQ
As this is a novel from 1979, I wasn't expecting it to completely align with modern ethics, but there are more references to colour than seem necessary to drive the plot. - otherwise it is a reasonable read so far.
