A - I really disagree with what Marvin is doing, he should not be having an affair with a married woman.

P - in the book, Justine is thinking about leaving her husband for Marvin. I think that she will leave him and mlve in with Marvin.

C - Senator suffers from depression and a large lack of motivation. I can relate to him and how he feels.

Ask - why did Bryan end the book the way he did? I really enjoyed the ending with his conversation with the woman outside the court room, but I don't really understand why he decided to end the book there.

F - "...but a lot of people here think that once you go to prison, whether you belong there or not, you become a dangerous person..." I really agree with this quote. All of the erongly convicted people in this book will be viewed as felons, even though they didnt do anything wrong

F - "if i didnt do anything, shouldnt i be able to go home now? Mr. Bryan, if this is true, can you please write me back and come get me?" This quote really shows how desparate Joe was. He was a 31 year old man with the education of a 3rd grader, stuck in jail since he was 13

W - I really liked how the author described each person's emotions when Walter was walking out of jail. They seemed truly genuine.

Prediction - with the amount of bomb threats that Bryan is talking about, I feel that somewhere in the future, a bomb will be sent to his law office

F - A part that infuriated me was when Trina got put into jail for an accident, and got raped by an officer there. The officer got fired for what he did but didn't even get charged for it. Trina had to give birth to the baby while hand-cuffed to a bed, and then the baby got take away from her.

Ask - I'm a little comfused by chapter 8. Was Walter Trina's father?

F - "They aren't going to admit they made a mistake, they know I didn't do this. They just can't admit to being wrong." Walter says this when he learns that his conviction wasn't overturned. It's so enraging how a system made to proect people would take a person's life to protect itself.

F - I really like how this book takes direct quotations from "To Kill a Mockingbird" to help explain situations

Favorite - "...law schools, it seemed, didn't require you to know anything." I find this quote interesting considering how much lawyers have to study.

Prediction - I predict that, since Michael adopted a second son, his parental responsibilities as a single man will become too much for him to handle.

Ask - What caused Michael to wait seven years to even look into Adam's learning abilities? It was quite apparent that Adam was learning much slower than other children, and if I were in Michael's place, I would have done something about it sooner.

Favorite- "she always surprises me, thats all. How could she have known your dream?" I feel like this quote really sums up how quickly Adam's father bonded with Mrs. Medicine.

Ask- If the adoption agency was weary over letting a single man adopt a child, why weren't they questioning him when he took his kid to the hospital with a life threatening medical emergency?

S The end of the book was amazing. The plot where Mia gets taken by Dalmar's workers was just to get her dad in jail. Before it occured, Mia met Dalmar in a bar to get one of his hitmen, Colin, to kidnap her. The first plan was for Colin to take Mia to Dalmar, but he wasn't in on the details, so he took her to the cabin in the woods to 'save her'. Dalmar would get the money her dad would pay as ransom; he never did
