On page 79 "it almost over and all of the people the people that were able to make it were extatic even though then couldn't show it" I think that this was an important quote because they weren't able to show it because they were all so weak due to the lack of food they couldn't do much anymore.

On page 73 " everyone was starting to believe that we truly we're going to get out of here soon" I think this an important quote because they maintained being able to Beleive they had a chance when is was difficult too.

On page 67 " yes, man is stronger, greater than God." I think this is an important quote because this is what the people in the consintration camps had to think in order to survive.

On page 60 " we breathed in air filled with fire and smoke, and our eyes shine with hope." I thought this was an important quote because they were suffering so much and finally had an inch of hope for once.

On page 48 " I refused to give him my shoes they were all I had left." I thought this was an important quote because the narrator is showing how everything was taken away from them once they were put in consintration camps and they would never get them back.

On page 34 "Never shall I ever forget that first night in camp, that turned my lie into one long night seven times sealed ." I found this to be an Imortant quote because it's showing that they know their life is never going to be the same ever again.

On page 23 "We descided to take turns sitting. There was little air." I thought this was an important quote and really sad because of how hard it was on the consintration camps.

On page 11 the main character states " the yellow star? So what? It's not lethal" and i thought this was an important quote because the citizens needed that star to indicate to the Germans that they were Jewish and will have to do that for such a long time.

On page 225 " I knew I couldn't take this moment, one of the greatest moments of my life for granted" I like this quote because I completely agree because if u take ur best moments for granted you can't treasure them and make them special.

On page 217 "coming from successful team play we truly did believe in ourselves" I like this quote because it shows that to be successful u have to believe in yourself and that's the only way you will succeed.

On page 191 " it had begun the year before,when we created a buzz around the league with our improved play" they r starting to become better team not just because they got one good player they are playing good team ball.

On page 176 he states " I won't back down from anyone. It didn't matter that he was six ten and I am five three." That is the thing I love most about muggsy bogues he wasn't scared of anyone even though he was one of the smaller to ever play the game.

On page 133 " I was the smallest guy on the court but that didn't matter to me" and I think that this is a great quote because he knows he's not the biggest and never will be so he works the hardest to make up
For his height.

On page 109 he states " and for me to be in Europe was an unbelievable opportunity, as well," I thought this was a great quote because he is taking advantage of where he is and what he's doing I. Life and making it great.

On page 79 " it felt so good knowing I hadn't had a loss in such a long time.I was very proud of that." I thought this was a great quote because he knew that winning was the only thing that is acceptable and he is proud to say that and I agree with that,

On page 66 the narrator states " I wonder if someone kidnapped muggsey" and they stated this because he never misses a game and he was no where to be found. I am similar to that I never miss a game either not even if I'm hurt if I'm hurt I go to the game either way and support my team.

On page 42 he says " he was living a life of the streets. And eventually he paid the price for it". I thought this quote was extremely important but mugsey realizes that his dad truly deserved going to jail and all of these terrible things and that is something extremely hard to admit

On page 36 " I was never the biggest, weather it was on the court, in my family, or in school" this is one thing I cannot relate to because I was never the smallest but I was never the biggest even though I wish I am just like he did

On page 22 he says " There is no time in my life that I can remember letting someone else tell me what to do or deciding how I should live my life" I think this is a great quote because that's how every person Should live by making descions on there own without having everyone else impact your desvion

On page 6 " Thanks big fella. Now you're on my highlight film." and this quote truly made me laugh because I can relate to a moment like that. I've surprised many big guys whether it was bodying them or if it was beating them or playing better then them when they expected to dominate you.

On page 16 "He had a good reason to be comfortable: he was at home on the basketball court, and surrounded by all his family" I think by this quote the narrator means that Lebron's teammates took the place of brothers he was so close with them and that when he was on the basketball he was at home because he can always be himself

On page 163 Joseph said "Tell Jupiter I...." He stopped his mouth sort of crumpled. "I will" she said " By this quote Joseph was saying he wanted to let his daughter Jupiter know that he truly to does love her even though he can't tell her because the women he had a child withs parents won't let him ever see her.

On page 68 Jack says"Around and around, the sharp stars watched, and the low moon, and Jupiter over the mountains" I think by this quote Jack means that Joseph is feeling at home and really starting to feel like he is part of their family. Joseph is also starting to act as if he cares and this is where Joseph is happy.

On page 45 "Of all the brainless, fools things to do for a boy who lived near a river all his life this was the most brainless of all" said by the father who was infuriated bc both Joseph and Jack almost got killed from suffocation because the river was frozen and they fell through

On page 38 Jack says " I live on a far, I see animals die all the time. Never like that." I think that this is an important quote because Jack felt so bad and was completely scared for life when he saw the dog die from falling under the ice on the river.

On page 21 " Kids like Joseph Brook aren't always normal, see? They act the way they do because there brains work differently" a teacher said this quote and I think that this quote is stating that Joseph is not wanted at there middle school and not many ppl like him being there

On page 18 "Even though we didn't talk much, I think Joseph might have been glad I was there." I think that this quote is important because it shows that he won't give up to make Joseph be like his real brother and will always try to be there for him

On page 6 "That was the first time I ever saw Joseph smile." I thought this was an important quote because it states that Joseph when he first got adopted wasn't excited to finally have a new family and that he was always very upset and bummed out.

I am starting a new book because i hate this book so far and will do another log right after this
