I’m so used to seeing internalized misogyny in older YA novels that I keep cringing at here for a second until I remember that’s literally what the book is exploring and deconstructing. Very much enjoying this, but, like, with my shoulders up around my ears.

I take it back. The college advisor in the book graduated only a year after I did and now I hate everything.

Oh but this is delightful

I'm officially pitching this book as THE CONSPIRACY OF US meets PRIVATE and I would like this workday to end so I can get back to it, please.

This book is so bonkers and I am so here for it, though I suspect I'm gonna wish I'd waited to read it until closer to whenever the sequel releases. Whatever, NO TAKEBACKS, because I'm sure as hell not putting it down now.

That smartphone metaphor is one of my favorite things I have ever read.

This book is so weird in the best way, and almost a third of the way through, I'm still reeling from that prologue.

This is such a tough read, I can only read a little at a time, but I'm liking it a lot so far. It's giving me major BEING FISHKILL vibes, and I love that book. Also, bi MC, which I did not expect or know going in!

Not that I'm surprised based on her last book, but jfc this is gutting.

So, two of these four are queer, one of whom is a bi girl who's currently making macarons. I love this book.

Completely loving this so far.

This is fun as helllll and also the second queer Muslim sci-FI YA in my currently reading queue, so that's definitely a YA shift...
