i need everyone to know that i am being soooooo incredibly brave reading this volume instead of just skipping it!!!!

i’m scared for my life

still slowly making my way through this one!

i’m not sure how well this is going to go for me with this writing style but i’m giving it a shot

giggling and kicking my feet

this is unfortunately actively not good and it took until about 15 pages ago for me to care even a little bit but i’m still reading so

checked this out from the library with zero idea what it was about but it’s definitely gripping me so far

i am once again asking why a romance novel about a fucking holiday prince is actively devastating me emotionally

continuing my re-read now that i’m back home with my physical book and GENUINELY this is my favorite of all timeeeeee i’m in PAIN

yeah i am reading the second book in this series and what about it

this is all over the place structurally but the writing is actually quite good on a sentence level which for some reason i didn’t expect

i feel like so far this book has just been like….exactly the plot you would expect if you read the synopsis

am i mentally capable of going through this again? we’ll check back in

this is the most ridiculous concept i’ve ever heard why is it kind of well executed

i never know whether to blame the writing or the translation with translated works but….so far the writing in this book is very mid but i am intrigued to see where the story will go. it’s the beginning of a five volume series so we’re still getting a lot of info dump and don’t know much and i do feel like there’s potential to improve as the story hits its stride

every time i re-read this book i remember all of the reasons it’s one of my favorite books in the world !!!

is this giving sapphic satosugu or am i just that deep in the trenches…impossible to say

besides being an important book by any standard, i cannot emphasize enough how damn good El-Kurd’s writing is on a sentence level. this is some of the most excellent writing i’ve read in a long time.
