got returned too fast, will finish later

my audiobook got returned halfway through and now i have to wait 8 weeks to get it again 😭😭

taking a break from mermaid horror to something more fluffy. I wish i new this had a turn-of-the-century circus theme earlier bc i wouldve read it right away, I love a circus / carnival themed book. This is like gay the shape of water if the sea creature was captured to be a carnival side show act.

mermay pt 2: more horror cause its my fav genre

This has the atmosphere and plot of something I would absolutely love - queerness / identity / nature horror / grief, ect. but something about it is not hitting for me and im not sure what it is bc it SHOULD hit. I hope this changes by the time i’m finished, but it is very YA so I could just not be the target audience

needed something light after torturing myself with depressing horror one after the other.

in the last book by this author i read, I said I wish that I had read it instead of listened to the audiobook and here i am, listening to their other book instead of reading it.

lesbian swan lake is so up my alley

back on my queer horror bullshit. its currently seeming very gothic which i like but I would love some folk eldritch horror with the whole nature vibe or something involving the body, the forest, and rot.

I like how the relationship between nell and fay is mirrored in christopher and theo.

This is fun so far, kind of reminds me of the bottoms movie with the vibes and how funny it is. Nell is such a loser lesbian i love her.
