Had potential but landed on its face. Beating the dead horse about mountain and sea people and annoying observer characters.

Insufferable women going back and forth, then ganging up on a dude who just wanted kids. The husband is annoying in his own way, but damn Riki and Yuko were a mess. Ririko was unnecessary and delusional rich girl.

A day well spent is a life well lived. I highly recommend this book. It’s part self help, part sea of self reflection and part novel with a story line. Each element is important.

We all experience stress, burn out, hopelessness. This book talks about talking life one day a time. Small progress. Listening to your intuition and following dreams.

First story was so heartwarming and heartbreaking

Hated the second story, the wife, Kaori was a toxic person. Shitting in her husband nonstop about his poor social skills, marrying like she did him a favor and threatening to divorce every time they had a conflict. When husband does something right, she talks about how well trained he is. Spin can’t make me like this story.

The black and White was a nice misdirect case. The writing is so easy to digest and follow.
