Iv already read this book a few years ago. But decided to read it again because I loved it so much. Reading it at 20 instead of 16 might give me a new perspective

Literally stopped reading cuz they snuck pedophilia in there and it was too disturbing to go on. Plus once the story line between the grandmother and grandpa stopped I lost interest and the book took a massive nosedive down in a pile of disappointing monologging instead of storytelling.

Page 50. And I directly quote
“He kissed her bare feet, sliding his tongue between her toes, and licked them. His kisses crept up her plump thighs.”
Uhhhhhhh. Look I don’t mind a spicy scene. But I’m a little bit irritated at the author. She’s got good writing skills but then inserts odd moments like this where I’m lead to believe this is what she’s into sexually not the character. #massiveprojection

So I really like it so far, there is really interesting explanations of legal matters related to family trusts and money. I’m being educated while also entertained and I can relate to the characters (the three sisters). The dynamics and dialogue had between them feels so natural, entertaining, and they each have a distinct personality that defines the way they communicate with one another and process things.

There was a super weird scene where this woman who was working as a nurse for veterans of the war. Fell in love with one of the soldiers and he proceeded to lick her hand. That was never explained as to why he did that, or why she got aroused during that. So far I don’t have an issue with the book other then that part and it really bothers me. Why.
