it's almost too much but it's hard to stop reading...

So into this book now. One of my rare paperbacks was on offer in Waterstones, I didn’t start it till 2019 then took a while to get going as 5 others on go and writing my own crime novel. The weirdly wonderful plot, the teen characters living parentless in a newspaper-filled house, the gobby detectives and their cheeky humour... I had no idea Snap would resonate so much! Can see already why it did so well.

A wonderful immersive listen. The writing is top notch and the themes are gripping. History comes to life, and the characters’ principles and relationships are tested by war in the past century.

Enjoying the mordant humor the gothic flourishes and the story of a woman’s transformation but keen for something dramatic to happen before the end as the pace has become a little slow

Getting more involved now, with a turn involving Anna's parents. Also wondering about Murray's lack of progress on the case - Sarah seems far more on the ball than he is

a compelling read, hard to put down

Total darkness... in a closed vessel way under water - the first few pages have got me a bit anxious may need to surface for some deep breaths!

Lovely writing - I'm almost with Lily on the ship, embarking on a journey to... well I'm not quite sure

Totally sucked into this - EO is such a great character. Green nails scene did tickle me.
