I am on page 92 in the book Matched. I would rate this book 4 stars because I really enjoy it so far although, I am not that far into it. I normally don't like science fiction novels but, this novel seems somewhat realistic,

The genre of the book Matched by Ally Condie I would describe as fantasy and fiction. This is a new genre for me because I normally read realistic fiction books. I really enjoy this book so far and think it is very interesting. I forsure want to read the series. I was surprised I like this book because it is a different genre. While reading I have come across some unfamiliar words. One word that was new to me is the word, Sweltering. Based on the context, "She met us in the kitchen, In her church outfit, a button-down flowered dress that had long sleeves and a skirt down to her ankles, even though it was sweltering today. (155) The context helps me infer that sweltering means hot or warm and was used to describe the weather.

This is a big change for me because I usually read realistic fiction novels. I have found myself really enjoying this book because, I love scary novels and the setting is scary.

The setting of the book Amity takes place in a haunted house. This has a big impact and negatively effects the people living in the house. Gwen's aunt Ro is concerned and scared for Gwen and her family because, when she visits them she notices the house is very old and is haunted. She is so concerned she asks Gwen how she is holding up living in the house and gives Gwen sage to burn in oder to cleanse her house....

Since I normally read realisic fiction novels, I wanted to try something new. I chose to read the book "Amity" because, I love horror movies and mystery books so I felt like "Amity" would be a good choice and a way to take me out of my comfort zone of just reading realistic fiction. I feel like "Amity" is really interesting and suspensful so far. "Amity" will definiantly keep me just as intrigued as previous books...

In my book, Mieka the main character is still facing some issues with her grandma. Mieka feels as isn't worthy and Greta;her cousin is so much better than her. For example, Mieka states her feelings about when her grandmother called her fat by saying,"Maybe I needed a little fixing" (50) This quote shows Mieka is questioning her body image and I think this could change the way she views her grandma and thank her.

In the book, Waiting For Normal, Mieka the main character deals with a rude grandmother she has to spend the summer with. On page 30 Mieka's grandmother says,"She gained some weight is what she did" This quote helps me better understand Mieka's relationship with her grandmother and her grandmothers personality.

I am currently on page 34 in the book A Long Walk to the water. Being in southern Sudan Nya has to commit her whole day to walking far to fetch water in order to survive.Today I read about how Nya and her brother went hunting and her mother worried the Dinka tribe would find them.When her mother showed she was worried, it showed me that her mom was carrying and nice.

I am currently reading the book, "A Long WalkTo The Water". I am on page 18. So far, I have began to infer that the two main characters, Salva and Nya will unite. I think this because Salva is searching for his family, he lost due to the war and everyday Nya walks 8 hours to get water. This inference helps me look for clues on when they may unite or why my thinking might change about this inference throughout thebook

I am currently reading the book become a better you. This book includes tips about ways you can connect and become a better person through steps like giving to others,etc.. The main problem is how you can change and whats preventing you from completing the steps and becoming a better individual.

I think that as Carrie starts telling others about her younger brother. She will start remembering the day and it will affect her family negatively.

The book wake is about a girl named Janie who goes into peoples dreams. Janie goes in her friend carries dream.
