After mulling this over, I think I'm going to DNF this book.

I feel bad, since I actually preordered it.

This is an incredibly random way to insert a random character into the story. Frankly, she feels completely unnecessary, and so does putting her through that trauma.

I did not realize how much that name annoyed me until I started reading this book. Maybe in satire it'd work, but this isn't.

This line makes no sense. The book was published in 2003. I have CDs I bought a decade before that, that still work perfectly. MP3 were in existence by that point. Why are the recordings wearing out?

Is this an alternate reality where they've eliminated autism, but never advanced beyond the cassette tape?

I'm sure there's a reason he thought having a house in Venice was a good idea, but its still a bad idea for a vampire who's effected by water.

Pg. 207- Clearly a case of missing a word, but "Blown leaves scattered the patio bricks." is an amusing image.

ARC came today. Book came out yesterday. I think the publisher is a little confused on what "advance" means.
