I didn’t care for this book. I didn’t care for any of the characters. I didn’t know who the messenger was. I actually thought he was schizophrenic for part of the book. I just would fall asleep when I was reading it. I can usually tear through a book, but this one was a slow read.

I really enjoyed this book. I got a little tired of the jingles, but I never tired of the fortitude and perseverance of Evelyn and how she kept going. She raised ten kids with an abusive alcoholic husband. Somehow she managed to push them all to success. She made their lives to be funny and hopeful in the midst of poverty. What a true hero.

I loved this book! I loved her friends and her cat! You feel so invested in her and really just want to keep reading about her. I felt so invested in her and didn’t want the book to end!

I’ve always been very interested in Jane Goodall. She’s a remarkable woman. Listen to a podcast of her not too long ago and was amazed at her ability to still communicate her message of hope.

This is my first Louise Penny book, and I am so sorry I just learned of her. Her writing is descriptive and beautiful...reads like I would write if I had any talent. I will be reading the rest!

It's a slow build...but I'm getting into it. Definitely LOVE the cover! That is what drew me to the book! Don't read this on a nook or kindle!

I am really enjoying this book. The character development is amazing! It isn't a fast read, but I am really enjoying this arc from NetGalley.

This book is good. It is a slow read for me because it has so many facts. It's kind of link reading a history book, but a VERY good history book.
