This book is cracking me up 😂
I really love it. The humor mixed with a fluffy stalking storyline is fabulous.

Noting we were just in the Halloween of freshman year of college around 9%
The chapter ended, the new one says “a couple years later” but Issac has just stated he’s 32.
That’s more than a decade…

“Ronnie,” he breathes. His voice is a low rumble, as if he’s speaking through honey, the single syllable of my name dripping with a kind of reverence that sets my skin on fire.

First of all, Ronnie is two syllables.

Also…This book is a little strange.

My only complaint about this book is the actions of the characters bodies are soooo inconsistent. You have people moving things in the wrong direction to be the person under someone else. 🙄
Editors shouldn’t be missing these things, or betas.

Page 176….Carrion was JUST in Zilvaren with Fisher because that’s where they are. But Saeris just said Carrion and Lorreth are in the training hall.
That’s a hell of a miss on the part of editing. 😬

Anyone else want to throw this book over the pining, drooling bullshit for 100 pages where there USED to be a strong, badass female lead….then she hits you with this “where else would an acolyte kneel to worship but at the altar of his god” shit that you can’t help but grin over even though you’re annoyed AF?

This book started out soooo good. But the further and further I get, the messier and clunkier it gets and I’m wondering if it even had a full edit 🙄

Okay 1- why is everything described, then described again?
2- a princess wouldn’t be left completely alone in a castle.
3- I swear if this page says “malice” or “malicious” ONE more time 🙄 pick a new word.

Loving this so far, except the characters using each others name every other time the dialogue shifts to their turn is driving me nuts.

Notes:
Only 1% in and we’re already flip flopping on blonde vs blond and not spelling out anything numerical.
Repetitious words everywhere.

Please….for the love of all things holy….pick a way to spell blond(e). I don’t care which way you choose, but both spellings in the same paragraph makes my teeth grate.

I am OOOOOOOVER the full name thing.
Every conversation does not need to have someone calling their partner by their full name in a scolding manner. For real….no one does that and it’s getting to be a lot.
Anyway.
Onward I go because the rest is good. 😊
