cried already...... baru cormorant and harrowhark nonagesimus are the same person in different font and i love them both so dearly

really considering DNFing this

i cried at page 7, which does not give me much hope of feeling happiness during my read through

ocean vuong's writing really is in its own category

definitely not an easy read but a necessary one

oh no, the family dynamics in this book are hitting too close to home and julia armfield is too good of a writer i'm DEFINITELY going to cry

i feel like i'm reading zola or victor hugo only about south india and i'm not mad at it

sure i was not expecting much reading this book but one thing i certainly did not expect was a character saying at some point : "fine. i'm a sad adult boy with daddy problems"

this one is just so good

if you know me, you know that any time i read/watch/hear about something that mentions the height of the aids epidemic it completely destroys me and i need a few months to read anything else (yet i keep reading more) so it should be fine this time right.....

after reading the saddest book i've read in month, I needed a bit of a light easy read and so far this is exactly that
