finally started this book after years on my shelf and i'm: loving it

i cried at page 7, which does not give me much hope of feeling happiness during my read through

ocean vuong's writing really is in its own category

definitely not an easy read but a necessary one

this one is gonna be my favorite of his books, i can already tell

i feel like i'm reading zola or victor hugo only about south india and i'm not mad at it

sure i was not expecting much reading this book but one thing i certainly did not expect was a character saying at some point : "fine. i'm a sad adult boy with daddy problems"

this one is just so good
