I admit I find this book confusing at times since it jumps around the time lines often.

Did not plan on reading this graphic novel right now but found it on Libby. A heartbreaking story about the forced “comfort women” in WWII. It was horrible for them. People are awful.

I know I won’t eat most of the traditional food being mentioned since I’m veggie but it’s interesting to learn about it.

So far better than volume one.

Good but I can only read it in small sections since there is a lot of trauma involved.

Th main character is 39 years old but they way Orwell describes him you would think he is much older. It also has the younger woman who falls for him. Ugh. So sick of this. I know this was written in 1940s but the younger woman falling for the soon-to-be middle-aged man is so overdone.
