This is how I feel playing word games with my hubby and in-laws. 😆

I’m already feeling old but lines like this keep coming up more: “forties was a bit old”.

And now I’m crying.

I thought Chapter 4, when Genghis Cat was introduced was my favorite. But just now, in Chapter 21, we are meeting Angus - a Scottish Highland Cow!

I have some nitpicks about the story so far, but every time I start to get frustrated enough to not continue reading, ST says something or we're introduced to a new animal and I forget what's bugging me for a time and enjoy the story again.

I don’t get it, how did the writer come to this conclusion on their characters. Jane was quiet, reserved, and comfortable in her place in life. Elizabeth was outspoken, fierce, and determined to not let her station in life dictate how she was to live.

Can someone explain to me what I’m missing? Is this a case of a Rhoda thinking she’s a Mary?

We’re several years ahead and both are teens. Mel wants to keep Purity ignorant and safe. Purity wants to know all about his world and to become a Hunter.

Purity has just finished a test on Pride & Prejudice and it’s on her mind as she races to meet a famous Hunter in hopes of being taught.

She tells herself: “He wanted to keep me as Elizabeth...and I wanted to be Jane.”

Starting out cute. Some plot holes but their small.

I have to return the book to the library so I'll pick back up later.

I started the books a couple months ago. I really want to like it but I'm having to force myself to keep reading.

For the last 100+ pages or so I've felt like the witness to a gruesome train wreck. I need to look away, I WANT to look away and yet I can't. I've not been surprised by any of her character development and in fact have seen things coming way before she writes it. I am not interested in her characters and yet the romantic in me keeps reading in hopes of some kind of Happy Ending.

I'm trying really hard to keep an open mind and not let other's opinions flavor my own as I read, but within two pages I was already finding myself in "proof-reader" or "beta-reader" mode and getting annoyed at things.

I am totally loving this book! Its a fast paced read with some great characters.

*snort* "Blondes in heat? Why couldn't it have been mutant cyborgs?"

I have some hope this will be a better than normal paranormal romance. Right away were introduced to a doctor treating a patient he'd rather kill because it's a baby eating demon. The demon is in the ER because a nurse caught it in the nursery and impaled it ... Several times ... With a toilet brush.

Yes, I'm a sap. I just got misty-eyed at the apparance of a certain gray lump of fur.

I can't put this book down!!

I'm loving the book so far! It's the Anita I love, and it's also makIng me want to re-read Obsidian Butterfly.

*deep breath* Here we go, I hope I don't regret this. I very much miss the time when the meat of an Anita novel was the story and the sex was an added twist. But she promised old Anita and so I remain hopeful.
