Book club re-read (listen), the narrator sounds exactly like Rosamund Pike, which is fun. Otherwise this book is exactly the same as I remember it, but not sure if in a comforting way - a bit like re-reading an instruction manual?

Taking me an absolute age to read this because I keep putting it down deciding that I don’t like it, but then I read reviews that says it’s brilliant and funny, so I pick it up again. But honestly, what if you are all lying?

Jennifer Egan is really great at writing characters that I am completely indifferent to.

Got a bit stuck on the chapter about the terminally ill YouTubers, was hoping for a little more critique, particularly as there are multiple cases of people faking illness to get traffic, as well as the claims made between clean eating and curing sickness. Maybe that’ll be another chapter, but this one in particular could have benefited from some more interrogation.
