Okay, I‘m struggling, y‘all. The protagonist is insufferable. She is on a mission, but instead of acting strategically and using the tools she is given, she prefers blindly destroying things and antagonizing everybody. Very productive. If the life of my sister hung in the balance, I hope I would be more clear-eyed and, you know, intelligent.

So, I knew that Genly was gonna struggle with the fluid biological sex of the Gethenians, but I was unaware he was gonna be so sexist.

I knew all along that NileCorp was a stand-in for Amazon, but do you know how long it took me to figure out that it was in the very NAME? Amazon? Large river. You know what‘s also a significant river? Yeah.
