the violence of course is horrific but im having a hard time believing there isn't more, in a country with guns, or maybe it's because it's now 2026 and not 1995. ppl here are way too nice. surprisingly hopecore...

i think ppl's brains in 2016 in general were operating much better than right now in 2026 because if it were published now it would be so complained about, not be in the running for popularity prizes

i like this more and more with each (short) essay and tbh i think people who don't were hoping for something a little easier on the brain. more of a mismatch of expectations. but for me, i like essays and analysis and the blurring of the personal/confessional with the serious. i feel like i'm hearing them speak directly into my mind. so i am having a blast.
