Ok so I absolutely can’t stand Lauren. One minute she hates her husband for cheating. The next minute she’s having revenge cheat, and THEN covering for said husband. This chick is despicable.

Ugh, these characters are SO unlikable. Gemma is a paranoid basket case that thinks it’s everyone else’s responsibility to fall in line with the lies she’s living. It’s unbelievable she’s made it 13 years without discovery. Ben just seems like a douche, not really present husband/father and a bit of a wimp when it comes to Gemma, and Lucas is a total brat. The ancillary characters aren’t any better.

Ok I’m confused. Isn’t the prologue supposed to be at the beginning of the book?

The way these Californian ppl are treating these ppl who are moving cross country to try and survive for their families…is SO similar to what’s going on right now in America. Sad that instead of LEARNING from past atrocities it’s just being repeated…
