As I read this story of 57 people getting along and getting to know each other, I can’t help but think my up coming trip to Portland to stay in an Airb&b with my children and grandchildren will be an similar experience.

So far ( up to page 60) it seems that along with some history about who’s gone to Antarctica and global warming , I am getting the picture that this type of voyage is a type of social experiment ( at least for the author).

I’m about 3/4 the way through this novel. It truly is lovely.

So far this biography is extremely funny! What a lovely sense of humor that author has speaking in her grandmother’s voice. I’m cherishing every minute reading it.

I've stopped reading this book. I just couldn't finish....so sad
