So, Penelope and Dill end up going to prison for idling and doing nothing. They met the Timekeeper who told them how to get out of this place. They also found The Fancies that were also put in prison for being a nuisance. Penelope was the only one to escape and destroyed the Clock Tower. She meets the Great Moodler in the Realm of impossibility.

Penelope goes to this strange world where doing nothing is illegal. She meets Dill who helps her on her journey to find the Great Moodler. She would moodle and come up with great ideas. Moodle means to do nothing. So, Penelope and Dill go on their adventure through the Naughty Woulds and looking for wild boar.

The main character, Penelope, has a strange family. Her mother is a person who is very organized and has Penelope's day all in a schedule while her father is always smiling and happy. Penelope wants to become a writer but her mother refuses and say the life of a writer won't take you anywhere. One day, Penelope seems to have an open day her mother forgot to fill in.

Chirp and her family go to the hospital her mom is in to visit her. She expects a nice cheery welcome form her mother and for her to say amazing things and stuff, but that doesn't happen. Instead, her mom is all sad and weary with purple under her eyes and she doesn't say anything nice. She doesn't say anything about the perfect pie they baked just for her and for them.

Chirp kind of makes a new friend. Well, she doesn't say if he's her friend or not but his name is Joey. Also, Chirp's mom has to be put in a "nuthouse", which I think is a hospital, because of some reason Rachel won't tell her about. Speaking about Rachel, she has become really nasty lately and kind of acts weird around her dad. For example, when her dad asks to talk to her, she just sighs really loudly.

So, Chirp and Rachel, her sister, go to this party instead of trick or treating because Rachel thinks she is too old for Trick Or Treating. Chirp at first insists to go trick or treating but Rachel says that the party is way more cooler and they go there. Chirp soon gets sick of it and wants to go trick or treating and go home. Rachel says no so Chirp just leaves.

So, Chirp kind of hates her dad and her sister because her dad prevents her from spending time with her mom and her sister copies what her dad does. Chirp's mom broke her leg even more I believe and now has to stay at home a lot more often. And then, her parents and Chirp go to this kind of meeting with Chirp's teacher and a bunch of other students with their parents.

So far we know the main character, Chirp, has a good bond with her mother who has a broken leg. They like going on family trips and going to lakes and stuff like that. Chirp likes to be herself around her mother but her sister and father disapprove of that. Which I think is pretty sad.

So far it turns out Mr Jesse is dead and many people suspect Dale for it. Why? Because Attila told Joe Starr that she saw a boy with light hair and a dark shirt last night hauling Jesse's boat somewhere. That describes Dale an awful lot so that's why he's really nervous. So, Mo and Dale make a kind or detective club called the Desperado Detective Agency. They are trying to solve the mystery of Jesse's death.

The main character is called Mo. She lost her mother the day she was born because of a hurricane. In that same day Colonel arrives in town and sees Mo in a raft her mother made. Colonel who lost his memory somehow, takes Mo in with Miss Lana. Very since she has been writing kind of journals and trying to find out who her mother is. Her best friend is Dale and she also likes his brother Lavender.

So Isla's granddad helps her finish the flying model. During the night when she stays there, she can't sleep because she is worried about Harry and her father. Then, Harry has this crazy idea to go to the lake with the wing model and teach the lone swan to fly. Isla is successful and also ends up getting lifted up in the air about 3 feet. But for some reason, the swan does not leave.

So the family visits grandad once again and Isla goes straight to the stuffed swan her grandpa has with a bunch of instructions. The instructions tell to cut off the wings but Isla can't bring her to do it. Jack comes in and sees Isla with a knife. He thinks Isla is harming herself. She gets angry and cuts the wings off because of Jack.

So Isla goes to the hospital where her dad is in. He needs to have a serious operation and he might not even survive it. Then, Isla meets this kid in the hospital called Harry. He has leukemia. Also, in the lake outside the hospital Isla sees a swan that is very unique.

So, it ends up the swan dies. She and her dad go to a field to go see if anymore swans are there. Her dad sees some whoopers and runs after them. He ends up falling down due to heart problems and Isla calls the ambulance. They rush her dad to the hospital and it turns out he suffered arrhythmia.

So right off the bat a girl named Isla and her father go to a kind of preserve to go watch the swans early in the morning. Then, straight out of nowhere a small flock of swans head to one of the ponds in the preserve and 3 end up getting shocked by a powerline. Two are dead but one is still alive. They go to her Grandad's house so he can fix it. But he ends up giving it a needle or something.

So Bird, Summer and their parents stop the birds from going to the Green Home and dying for a few hours. Summer makes a magical snake and makes it rise and stop the powerful jaws. Summer is injured and is somehow in a river.

So, when Bird runs into the castle when her mother told her she would never be the queen, the Puppeteer was angry and tried to kill Bird. Her mother calls out to the birds to save her daughter and they eventually do, killing the Puppeteer as well. When the birds vanish, Bird helps all of the mad birds in the basement leave. She then sets out to get a bird army and lead them to the Green Home.

So, Bird finds a swan castle, which holds the puppeteer and her bird army. In it Bird finds her mother which was the swan queen, but Bird didn't know that. The Puppeteer wants Bird to challenge her mother and take the robe for herself. In the end, it turns out the Puppeteer had the wrong daughter all along. Meanwhile, Summer finds the Green Home and saves her mother.

When Summer realizes Bird is gone she meets a man called Ben, who is supposedly a bird but Summer doesn't know. Summer and Bird each hear a story but only Bird's story is corrupted while Summer's is the true story. The story is about how their dad meets a lone swan who is imperfect. In theory, I believe the swan is their mother. Later in the book we learn that their mother and father are also separated.

So far it ends up Summer's and Bird's parents went to the forest. When the sisters find out they go to the forest in search for their parents. Along the way Bird finds a strange bird that tells them the way when they got lost. A few hours later it ends up Bird leaves Summer because the end of the birds message was only for her. So, Summer goes to look for her.

So far, they introduce these two sisters called Summer and Bird. They fit the description of their names, Summer has sandy hair and blue eyes while Bird was sparrow brown and had gray eyes. In the beginning it turns out their parents and cat left mysteriously one night. While searching for clues they discover a note left by their mom that says, "I love you both the same. Move fast, move fast through the gate."

So far, the group finds an immortal hen that wished with a firebirds feather to live to lay one more egg while it was being chased by a fox. It turned out the hen escaped and now laid about a thousand. The hen also joined them. So, a few moments later Baba Yaga forced them to leave and while Yaga wasn't looking they stole the immortal hen.

So, the group go north to find the missing fire birds egg, on the way they played this board game which kind of changed the weather and they ended up making a whole blizzard and waking the dragon which chewed on ice. When the dragons teeth feel, they would turn into soldiers. Then, they end up leaving the place and making the dragon sleep again. On their way to home, they find the fire birds egg.

Elena, Anton, Cat, and Yaga are going on a quest to find the missing firebird egg that is somehow near the north. The egg was first supposed to be a substitute for the Fabergé egg that Cat had when she was left outside of the train. When the Tsar dismissed it for some oversized egg he put it back over with the other gifts. When Elena explained about how it was the egg, they went to look for it but it was missing.

So far Cat and Elena reunite, but Elena gets thrown in prison for "impersonating" Cat. Sooner or later, Cat's aunt talks to Cat and the Tsar and tries to talk to Cat why she should forgive Elena and how much her family did for her when she was left behind. Then, her aunt talks to the Tsar, mostly Miss Yaga talks, about Elena and how she found the Firebirds egg.

So far, Cat and Elena switch places in the train unexpectedly. Cat is stuck in Elena's place in the village and holds a egg, which was a gift. Meanwhile, Elena is stuck in the train. Cat goes after the train and Elena escapes, only to find a Firebird. Some people believe if you get a feather from the Firebird you are granted a wish. But, instead of getting a feather, she gets an egg after the bird disappeared.

So far, a girl named Elena has two siblings, Luka and Alexai. Earlier on, Luka is taken away along with many other men for a unknown reason. Later on, a train passes by which stops because the tracks are broken. So, she meets Ekaterina (Cat). Cat sneaks food to Elena because her village has no food to survive on. She does this because Elena tells her about how most of her village is now gone.

So far, the three main characters meet Maude, who ends up first trying to kill Alina. After a long talk Maude gets to join them temporarily. Later on, Bea, Alina, and Maude get trapped underground in a train station which Maude calls the "Death Station." When the Switch happened, Maude was a student nurse. In the Death Station, she and other nurses ended up taking the lives of people who could not afford oxygen.

So far, all of the three main characters are outside from the community which holds all of the man-made oxygen. (They use oxygen tanks to breathe) It's all barren, abandoned, buildings and houses are destroyed. Normal everyday objects are strewn everywhere. Often there will be some people out there, but most are dead.
