I don’t know where I am in the book. I think I would have appreciated it better if this was taught in my school. Now, I am bored. I think I am going to stop.

A person just died looking at Siddhartha. And we are clearly told what they thought as they died. This is why we read fiction ❤️

Few reviews said the city part was interesting the normal life boring. While I agree, I like it in the opposite way. Like the boring bits better than the interesting ones.

The world is full of popular books that Audible mistakenly assumes I’d enjoy. The characters feel as if they were crafted by children—not because they lack depth or behave immaturely, but because they seem like the kind of people children would adore.

I don’t know if I’ll ever finish it.

I was missing on updating the progress the past few weeks. But if I had it would have been about how I wanted to stop. Now that it’s almost ending I wouldn’t say that. It’s kind of getting better.

Starting to get boring. I wish I was more intellectual.

Not sure if men are allowed to read this book. But they have Murakami’s love for the book in their cover…. so?

I am starting from the beginning every time I pick it up. I wish I was as intelligent as I used to believe when I was younger.

I think i have crossed the best part of the book at hiring (Chapter 2)

I see everyone more corporate than me in the corporate. So I thought I will read some proper corporate.

This is definitely not a book experience. The audiobook is more like watching a series. No complains.

James McAvoy is amazing. So is Neil Gaiman (voice). The story is perfectly made like a folklore, filled random breaks, arcs, and experiments as it wishes.

Life update : I am unable to read physical books, for no proper reason. It’s all Audible now.

I found the beginning pretentious, and the gaming metaphors felt forced. However, crossing the sentimental parts in the middle of the book made me more accepting. Or maybe I've just gotten used to it?

The Kafka parts were not even half as wonderful as Nakata parts. I bet Kafka grows up to be a certified self-centred snob.

Like this less than the other two books I have read of Kazuo Ishiguro, 'Never Let Me Go' and 'Remains of the day.'

Hard to be looked at differently than any other soft cyber-punk.

Apart from that, I had issues with the naive protagonist. The character makes way for many stereotypical (sometimes not but still) shallow emotional scenes. Of course, I can be moved; but I am not a hallmark benchmark.
