A must read for all Peoples. As a teacher of English in history, every person in the United States should have to read this book as a prerequisite to graduate from high school.
It is an easy read as to its vocabulary yet has enough high-level vocabulary to challenge any reader. It gives us a clearer understanding of who President Grant is and of the time in which he lived.

Awesome. A must read for any culturally aware Christian.

It is a chilling reminder that evil exists. And that godly people will deny that others can commit such atrocities and will justify their actions as necessary for the greater good.
