Why did it take me so long to read a Helen Hollick book? This is great

The Depression is well, depressing, but I'm enjoying the rural Arkansas charcters in this book

i cant get interested in the characters

I don't think this is my kind of book. I know first century Rome was a place full of violence and sex, but this story is a little over the top.

nice, light, fun historical fiction

I know there are plenty of books about the Tudors, but is a story about a 12th century prince married to English royalty for political alliances really a common them these days? I like the book, but the story has so many similarities to Here Be Dragons that I keep comparing the 2 and Here Be Dragons comes out on top.

I needed a break from the 16th century and the Spanish Armadas so I leapt all the way to the 1960s. This book starts off sad but the story is pulling me in.
