I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I am.

didn't read the blurb... I like this series so I try not to read them so don't have anything ruined. But if the story is about <spoiler>her ? I don't think I'll enjoy it. So there's a dark hunter book about a evil villain that tried to humanize him -someone who was evil. They're not anti-heroes. It's not about redemption. There is been little to no humanness for this particular villain. :( </spoiler>

I feel squished between the rock (work life, family life, all things that have to be taken care of to being adult), and the hard place (just started a new book, and also found out that a final book in a different series I've been looking forward to was just released). Asil's story was great!

My level of unhappiness with this turn is overwhelming. I have no idea why I'm continuing to read more... Possibly it's to find out if everyone who should die does die. The heroine causes much of her own problems by not being skeptical about anyone's motivations and treating every villian as if they are not villains. I really don't understand why.

I am enjoying this second installment so much more than I expected! Plot twists, World building both A+

...'Knight Ryder.' I'm so old I started hearing that Knight rider theme song.

The beginning of this has them at the safehouse, but the growl line has them at Kate's apartment. I'm confused. I don't remember noticing this the first time reading.

This is the first time I realized that the Midnight Games Andorf slaughter took place in 'two thousand twenty-four', the book places Kate in her pre to mid thirties, which would make the book time year approximately 2039! Not sure why it blew my mind, maybe the first time I read this book years ago, I had no real understanding of time and how it would catch up to me.

'This had better be the right whorehouse.' I love this first line!
