I am genuinely enjoying this one, almost as much as I enjoyed the adult books in the first phase. Its completely different in action and tone but its almost for those reasons that I love it so much. There's something special about the high republic truly.

This is reading like a horror movie and it was literally someone setting up for a party and then some people talking at the party

why is this the only book i've read this year that i genuinely CANNOT put down and it's a non fiction about GRAMMAR

slipped my mind how much i absolutely adore arkady martine's writing. for her to create this civilisation from nothing - it completely blows my mind. this is more than fantasy worldbuilding. it's worldbuilding from the ground up - asking what a society that values poetry and valour more than anything else would actually look like and its SO GOOD
