I'm reading about anarchism so I thought the anarcho-feminist Inge's Semtex toilet attack was hilarious. The narrator doesn't ring true, I don't feel angst or suffering in our narrator, just queer melodrama.

The sex scenes are spicy but now becoming monotonous, more is not sexier. There is no plot or character development.

Sadly this really needed an proper edit, it's baggy, once you're told the twist it's quite boring, oh well 👋

Really hating this book. It's like a bad problem solving computer game, or a primacy school science lesson. The writing style is that of parable.

Finished the first book but couldn't whip. Up enough enthusiasm to read anymore, while interesting in parts it is incredibly slow and flabby in others.

I can read this a piece at a time. The slaughter is unremitting, there is a an almost cinematic feeling to the writing. Men appear through the mud and smoke, their lives are briefly described then they are gone; shot, bayonetted or brutalised in some way by the machine of slaughter.

Very difficult to read on a kindle, it is a hybrid novel/graphic novel, with loads of illustrations and different fonts for each of the main protagonists.

Liked the author's style when I started this book but her chattiness is now wearing thin. Just want her to get on with it. This is not the book to read for any definitive answers

Hard going, not much characterisation, Rutherford, the on site artist is the most realised. He has a fetish for the surfaces of modern living.

Rutherford - autistic, concrete fetishism?
