I switched to analog (pen and paper) tracking for reading, and I like to periodically update in here, because reading challenge.

I finished the first “chapter” (act? Section?) and agree with a few reviewers that the protagonist is annoying. However, I’ve decided I want to keep going. Chapter 2 is far less irritating. Unlikeable characters are ok, but I do still want to care about what happens to them.

I am on a romance spree. No one can stop meeee

The most surprising part so far is (possibly a spoiler) the pace of how the romance bit is progressing. It reads like a series of governmental reports, all beautifully written.

TIME TRAVEL with a side of romance. I’ve been waiting for this release. V excited to dig in.

I’m flying cross-country this week on an airline that doesn’t provide lil screens for individual entertainment. Bringing this for uninterrupted reading!

Really enjoying this so far—I too want to idolize the mercurial author who is hosting the retreat.

I read Dept of Speculation early on in the pandemic and enjoyed it. But this one has been languishing in my to be read pile.
