Realyyyy enjoyed this one. The plot coming together really well. The sister reunion was nicely done. This is starting to ramp up. Sneak peek and epilogue showed the 3rd sister who is going to fall in love with the Visigoth king Alaric. Winger 2027, but it will prob be spring 2027, like blood singer. No idea why book three is called Deathrider when the sister isn’t a deathrider? Idk. Look forward to it.

I don’t want to keep reading bc it’s gearing up and i really don’t want gaius or any of the friends to die. Ugh…but I’m like the last 108 or so pages. This book is definitely more political/action driven with a small romance plot. Which it refreshing from book 1. I also like that Lela is so humanized. She’s been through so much and is now much stronger.

Page 138 typo? Trajan says he killed a man for his “uncle”, but Caesar isn’t his uncle, he’s Julian’s? I didn’t recall them being related 😭💀 so I think it’s a typo.
