Also, who was behind the Queen assassination attempts??? Just glossed right over....I also thought the magic stuff was cool/different. Also thought it was lame about how Fallon and Ariyon (Aaron or Aryian?) switched powers.

Writing and story is a bit juvenile. There are also some words/phrases that dont "belong" like 'bestie' and other 'real world' sayings. Story kept me turning pages. Also, the weird back and forth of relationship drama was kind of alright. Will probably read book 2 because the story was fast paced and short. I say/rate 3.2? LIke the queen was almost killed and everyone moved on later that same day? UNDERREACTING LOL.

this is like a 3.75 or so book. loved quicksilver, but struggled to get through this one. sooo many plot lines and NO answers...sigh.

Chapter 15 or 16, when the boys are in Zilvaren and saeris is with Tal going to the library, she says that carrion is training with lorreth. Isn’t carrion with Fischer in zilvaren?? So confused about this?

This was such a sweet book. Happy tears at the epilogue. So beautifully soft in tone. 5 stars for this whimsical book. I loved it touched on very real issues.

i would say a 3.9 rate. i just wish there was more 'lara leaving for good and being sought by aren' or 'lara let get of the portcullis and floated out onto sea instead of aren dragging her underwater through the gate' type vibe. but yeah, glad i read it and glad i wrapped up their duology. not sure i would read other books in the series unless they were a big focal point/characters.
