This book has so much information, not all of it interesting, that I can only read it a bit at a time. I have already used some of Norton's facts in my research so it is not a waste.

I am following one of my ancestors through this battle so this is not a casual read. I am taking time with this book and researching as I go.

The Memoirs are incredibly interesting to any Revolutionary War history buff. The book has details about historical events that are related in the first person unlike most history books. I do recommend it as a good read - and short.

Now, someone should really proofread these books. Twice the year is given as 1977 instead of 1677 on pages 50 - 55 and a number of other errors are quite evident.
