I won this in a first reads giveaway. It's more suited to my current state of business, easy to pick up and put down. It feels like I could have met the author at a show sometime, or have mutual friends, which makes it more casual reading, but also will make it harder to review objectively.

I won this in a Goodreads giveaway a while back.

I've put it down for a few weeks because life is a bit hectic and it seems to require more attention than I have. In what I have read, the speaker is telling the reader ("Terradillos") about his knowledge of the man whose life/death is in question. I believe it is set up as one of the long "interviews" that make up the book. I'm hoping my confusion will lessen.

I'm intrigued by the story but the writing style is keeping me at a distance. It's clever, but also a bit too much, too descriptive, distracting for me. Maybe I'd like it better as an audiobook. Not giving up.

Didn't like the audio book. Switched to print. Better so far.
