Wasn’t Dane patched into the MC in book 3? Or was that Bat? I skipped book 1 and 4 and I am just now going through the emotional roller coaster everyone else went through at the end of Book 4.
There I was, speed reading away when the author nonchalantly mentioned what happened to King and Cress. I beg your finest pardon?! I’m having a fit! She better take it back! Take 👏🏼 it 👏🏼 back!

I went in blind, but I’m so delighted to find out that this is a MF Shifter/ Omegaverse romance!

I can already tell that this is going to be a 4+ star read.

None of the characters in this book have any chill. And NONE of the characters know how to mind their own business. This could never be me because I would be like, “oh, you have secrets? Good for you, I’ll be at home in bed with my kindle.”

I rushed to read this one because I wanted answers to the questions left hanging in the 4th KORT series book. As a spin-off, I’m enjoying this one. I recommend you read the KORT series first, however. Unfortunately, this book doesn’t pick up right after the epilogue. I demolished the first half of the book bc its was very character driven. The 2nd half is building up the plot for the rest of the series.

I was pleasantly surprised by the first book in this series, but I’m having trouble connecting with the characters in this one. Perhaps I’m trying to force myself to read this one when my book-mood is demanding something different?

Oh gawd. I thought this was going to be funny, but I was ugly crying by chapter 10 and like audibly sobbing by chapter 14. TW for grief/ loss of a parent 😭😭😭

I like the concept of this book, a super hero plus a marriage of convenience it’s right up my alley. But for the love of gawwwd, what is wrong with the FMC?! She’s supposed to be the CEO of a PR firm, but she can’t even speak to answer a simple question or sit quietly in a chair without tragedy.

Things are getting better and I’m starting to like the characters, but I still don’t care for Hunter. I’m less annoyed with her, but I don’t see the draw to her.

I’m so excited that Stone got a spin off series. This book picks up at the end of the Alpha Compound series, so you’ll miss all of the world building and x-man like super powers if you haven’t read the first series. Although many of the characters are the same, and Mitchell’s pack is technically Stones neighbor and ally, this is all about Stone rebuilding. So good!

👀 I finally wrapped my head around the plot around the 250 page mark. And oh boy, it’s worth being clueless for the first 30%!

It takes a lot to stump me, but I will be the first to admit I have zero fuckin clue what is happening in this book. I’m getting very strong “Get Out” vibes.

Like I understand what is happening but I don’t *really* understand what is happening. …Other than the author is really good at penning spooky vibes.

Ohmahgawd, I’m bawlin! Why did so many people praise this series? Bamboozled. I have been bamboozled and now I’m ugly crying.

There is so much world building up front that it gives a very slow start. I’m struggling to stay interested, but I’m hanging on because the plot is hinting at a promising political conflict that can span over several books. Also, the FMC and MMC are on opposite sides of this looming war, and we all know star-crossed lovers are my jam.

But sooooo much world building. Someone kill something already!

Damon is so deranged that this book is either going to be fantastic or a complete nightmare. 🙃 I’m looking forward to a HEA

I’m inclined to give this book a 5 start review just because the author provided a recap of book 1! EVERY SERIES SHOULD DO THIS!

I just finished part 1. I can already tell this is going to be an amazing book! I’m such a sucker for witty banter and a salty protagonist.

Eh. This may be a DNF for me. The language didn’t seem to bother me as much in the first book, but as the storyline gets heavier, I find I’m really annoyed with how emotionally stunted the men are in this book. This is callous and crude just for the sake of it. Not my cup of tea, but the storyline is promising if you can stomach the characters.

OBSESSED. This book is 100% better than the entire OG series. This book really is like the mafia version of Hogwarts. There’s competition, a love triangle, betrayal, quivering loins, and unrequited love!
