Started this and am over halfway but in a season of life where reading is really hard to do, so I’m going to have to shelve it and return to it when I have energy!

An old friend of mine wrote this book, and I’m so excited to read it!

I first read this book almost 10 years ago. Since I need fun, easy reads with a newborn at home, I decided to give this one—and the sequel—another read. The movie of this book is quite cheesy and hilariously entertaining at the same time, a spirit that can be matched within this book (though the book has less cheesiness).

For this review, I have to truly separate Malala as a person from Malala’s book. She is a courageous young woman who has done awesome things. However, her book is really hard for me to read. It doesn’t engage me and it consists of a lot of “telling” without any deceptions.
