It’s taken me a few of his novels to see the routine but Peter heller really is a mommy issues king who lovesss an older woman… Gotta respect it

This book remains so frustratinggggff like KILL THE RATTT and this can be a trilogy!!! Ugh

Rereading for the 3rd time :) Truly Peter Heller is one of the most gifted outdoor writers of this millennia. He captures such a potent blend of beauty, fear, vastness and hope in his descriptions of place and time of day and as always these are some of my favorite characters ever. Yay!

Struggling…. I don’t wanna dnf at 25% but also that is literally 250 pages. Romance is just not my genre truly

Leila Jackson I can’t believe u have me reading a 1100 page hunger games fanfiction. For a ship I don’t really care about. But when Leila gives me a rave review I listen. Locking in…………

Oh my god?!?? Calling this early but has every indication of being one of the best books I’ve ever read. Prose is INSANE. Fascinating and in depth look at a region, ecosystem and culture I know almost nothing about. I’ve been flirting with the idea of a Russia hyperfixation after my Scandinavian interest cools down but I never even considered the Russian far east………. Stay tuned all

Cool first 20 pages and both New York and Ashland Oregon have already been mentioned !!!! Love that

Sadly my feelings towards poetry (dislike) haven’t changed by 33% of the book and I doubt they will by the end… but anything to get closer to the mind of Melisa Broder!! This reads as fun context for her terrific fiction. Will be finishing this regardless of how I feel about the format

At this point it is actually too scary to listen to literally and we are switching to physical read for the home stretch
