I gave up on this one !!!

I found this book not to my style- and maybe I have had enough of Henry VIII.

I gave up on this one- I am 65 and reading a story of a 65 year old woman who is dying was just to depressing for me. Plus I could not keep up with when and where the story was.

This is fourth in the series and it is just as good as the rest of them so far

This book called to me for a long time and I finally gave in bought it and read it- or rather I tried to read it. Just could not get into it- even after 200+ pages nothing really happened- I put it away and will try later- much later

I read The Age of Innocence because I felt that it was a book that all well read readers should read. So now it is read- I don't feel like it made me well read. I just wish I had of spent my time reading a better book. It was dull with dull people who I could of cared less about. I know it is a comment on the society of the times. I guess I did not "get" the times. Give me a Jane Austin anytime.

I have finished reading Little Bee and I loved this book. Little Bee was the most wonderful character. Her sense of humour and her strength are memorable. The other characters Sarah and Lawrence are well drawn and gave me strong feelings about them. And Charlie was the most delightful child I have read.
