Soooo much exposition… oh my god

DNF. The main character is an irredeemable, self-centred pain in the backside. Rise is constantly putting down Cypriot, treating him like a burden, rather than a loved one. Rise is constantly whining and only thinking of himself, and it got to a point where his crappiness outweighed any redeeming qualities. The plot isn’t strong enough to counteract that.

These two are so in love, dammit. I love them.

Wow, this book is EXACTLY what I was craving. Wild action scenes, strong world building, well written characters… ugh, I’m in heaven.

This book is such a letdown after how much I enjoyed the first in the series

This is written in first person, my least favourite POV… we’ll see how this goes. Big fan of the fake dating trope, so I’m tempted to give it a chance.

So far this feels like a marriage between Firefly and Battlestar Galactica: they say ‘no ruttin way’ and fly Vipers.

I don’t have a problem with this at all.

This book is wonderfully strange. The writing style is both gorgeous and oddly complex in some areas. Definitely have to focus when I read it so I don’t confuse what’s happening in a few places.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this book so far. But I don't think I like it.
