An interesting world 🗺 and the story was definitely gathering pace by the end

You know that bit of the story where you know it's going to end soon, and it's starting to build momentum and get scary, like someone important is going to die scary and you want to know what happens, but then you don't - yeah I'm up to that bit

How is the "Mark of Cain" a curse,when you are in a world where lots of nasty things are trying to kill you? --- this book is alarming, in that it got published. It's like my own personal penance....

Not an easy read with kid home from school fighting/playing with toddler :/. When does school start again?

Seriously, Clare should take Alec's words to heart and use less words. Over explaining relationships from previous books is infuriating.

200 or so (no idea how to tell on an audiobook)....hope the golf scene/chapter has a point although 'Hawthorne' made that sequence bearable :)

I like it when the next book in the series just moves straight on with the story. If you have no idea what is happening, who is who...read the last book again.

"Hey Jane, did you used to love The Secret Garden when you were growing up too?" I have nothing nice to say.....but, amazing how well this grammatically challenged sentence sums up the tone of this book.

"mavering"? Does she mean 'manovering'? Editors are an important factor to publishing, it is helps a book flow. This book is not flowing... :( making if difficult to read.

Steam Punk, what a girl ;)

This is a little more quirky then I bargained for. The Summer People story was cute, till the end when she just abandoned her friend.

Ok, I am confused with this one (Hand in Glove) not even sure of the P.O.V., been a while since I gave up on a story a couple of pages in. Missed the point of Cheng's illustration. The Last Ride of the Glory Girls was a fun little ditty :) the others so far have freaked me out a little, which thus far appears to be a goal.

Oh no! I have to stop and cook dinner. Surely the toddler can feed himself, so I can continue to read ;)

You know when it's late at night and you think "I'll just read a couple of pages just to see if it's any good" then you look at the clock yawning, and "oh sh*t" it's past midnight....yeah well that is this book.

Loving the story, am struggling with the " 'piggin" and other sea faring terminology :)

Whilst not as action packed as other Reilly books it is certainly enthralling.

This lady holds so many things in her brassiere it's a wonder her b**bs fit!

When I started reading this a friend told me not to get too attached to the characters. Martin, is brutal....but I still found myself yelling "no, not him" at the book. Mostly as his actor in the GOT series, is....well rather good looking, but also cause his character is one of the last that hasn't sold out. :( NOT happy JAN!

I'm wondering if I got given the correct book for this month?....
