I can't help but feel challenged and in denial as I underline prank statements from Sontag's essay as I contemplate her thought-provoking concepts. The first essay unnerved my common impression of "real" in photography. Sontag separates real from realism and is blunt about the ethical issues behind and within the camera. This is a very good material to explore and broaden my discourse on photography.
