This is the first book in a long time, which I have failed tograsp in any way. The characters are shallow, the plot jumps around like a jack in the box, and to be brutally honest, I cannot see the point of it. Time wasted. I will abandon this... again.

I started reading this because its one of those books which was on my "should read" list, along with many others. I've seen the film and enjoyed that, and now I find that I am enjoying this book more than I expected to.

Excellent so far but it does get repetitive at times. I'm struggling also with recognising people I've known or been involved with... its scary. I'm taking a break from it for a while.
