Just about managing to keep the dozens of characters straight, but only thanks to various tools provided by Simon Haisell and other websites.

Leaving the soirée at Anna Pavlovna and naughty Pierre is now heading off to enjoy some debauchery chez Anatole.

Finally some good times!

I can NOT stop listening to this even though I should be working!!

Part 2 - About 10 days of emails between Sally Milz and Noah Brewster, set in late July 2020 during the pandemic. Up to 62% at the end of part 2. This entire chapter is written in the form of emails and is very endearing but also a bit of a convenient vehicle for delivering not more context for the characters' background but also to progress their friendship to the next level. So let's see what part 3 has in store.

Three parts to this novel:
Part 1 - a week in preparing a live show of "The Night Owls" (fictional version of SNL) told by our first person narrator, Sally Milz, who is a senior writer on the show. This is set in 2018, including the political references to the orange clown in the White House as well as people like James Comey. This part constitutes almost 50% of the novel.

This is so good, I am already thinking about suggesting it for my book club.

I am *loving* this audio book!

This is soo good, but I fear that some of the biblical references are wasted on me. Time for bible study?!
