I'm glad I left it so long to re-read this, it's getting so good now and I can only remember vague bits about what happens next

5 hours into the audiobook and we're just getting in to the meat of it... I love proper space operas 👌

Really enjoying this still, will likely be finishing the rest in one go

Liking this thus far, although it does do the whole 'an old earth 21st century movie The Avengers' a few times, which takes you out of the sci-fi world a bit...

I'm barely halfway through this and I can already tell this is going to be 'important' for me. I find myself wanting to highlight every 2 paragraphs so I'll be making copious notes on my second reading. And Bastiat just became one of the people I'd have at my theoretical dinner party... How I long to know his views on the current-day situation 😂

And now we get the whole "villain explains everything that we couldn't have figured out ourselves" because there's been no hints to it...

Where's the book on Fury? Probably the only character I've actually enjoyed and she has like 3 scenes 😭

At the very least this should be the end... How there's 5 more hours of this left I do not know.

It's only the fact that I'm a completionist that I'm actually finishing this... There's about 11 hours to go and we're still getting bits of worldbuilding that feel like they should've come along already. Still not loving this one 🤷

Decided to jump back into this and I realised how much the term 'alpha-hole' is rather offputting... Just use the actual word

All this use of 'male' and 'female' keeps pulling me out of things... Like the prince referring to his father as 'just a male...' yadda yadda is kinda odd. Of the 15 different adjectives that could've been used, I get that you might not wanna use man/woman because angels/wolves/etc but still
